The Forget-me-Not Club

The Forget-me-Not Club usually meets at 10:30am on the 2nd Monday of the month at the Village Hall.

Everyone is welcome - please bring along a friend or just come to chat with other local residents, swap a book or two and have a cup of coffee and cake. Various activities take place throughout the year such as fish & chip lunches, quizzes and picnics

Also TAI CHI now runs at the Village Hall every Monday (Except Bank Holiday) at 9:30am-10:30am with Geoff Leversedge. Cost is £4.00pp. Sometimes the venue can change so please call to check.

Swanton Abbott Walking Club

On the first Sunday of every month a group of villagers set off from the Village sign for a 5 mile trek based around a local hostelry.

Usually between 8-12 walkers attend and the club is always ready to welcome new people.

Typically we start the walk from the village sign at 10:30am but if we are starting from elsewhere we pick up from the village sign 10-15mins earlier. The next dates are: 1st July, 5th Aug & 9th Sept

Coltishall Brownies and Guides

The 1st Coltishall Brownies and Guides are one of the local Guiding groups to Swanton Abbott. The Brownies and Guides are a charitable organisation who aim to deliver an engaging and inspiring programme for girls aged 7-15.

Meetings are held on a Monday evening in Coltishall from 6pm.

The Women's Institute

The villages of Swanton, Banningham and Colby have joined together to form an active branch of the W.I. The branch holds regular meetings and organises events throughout the year. Several speakers will be joining us over the coming months to talk across a wide range if interesting subjects.

The WI is always happy to have new members join or participate with the W.I. group.

Bowls

Swanton Abbott has a first-class bowling green located about half way down "The Street", almost next to the Post Office. Regular meetings take place throughout the summer including a number of competition matches against other local clubs.

Vintage Tractor Club

The local farming community has a terrific range of classic tractors and other agricultural machinery. These are regularly on display at various events around the parish including the world famous "Swanton Abbott Tractor Parade" held each year.
